All your printing history is listed on the https://www.tudublincityprint.ie/login/ website. Log in with your Student Number and 4 digit PIN. Click History to view each print transaction.

If you have credit on your account and the printer is telling you that you have insufficient funds, your printing account may be frozen. Your printing account can become frozen after trying to print to a printer which then experiences a problem; the print account credits are transferred into a reserved account for your protection. Please contact Datapac helpdesk for account support in order to have your print account unfrozen.

All printing credit is carried forward from year to year once you are a registered student.

The printer will automatically log you out after 30 seconds of inactivity. However when you are finished with the printer you should manually log yourself out by clicking the yellow logout button on the keypad to avoid the next users accidentally using their credit.

When photocopying a large number of documents, you must use copy icon on the touch screen. Sign in at the device providing your student number and 4 digit PIN number. Then click on Copy icon on the touch screen. Place the paper for photocopying on the top feeder, face up and press the green start button.

You can change your PIN by logging in to the Web Interface with your Student number and PIN and change it over there.

If you have forgotten your printing PIN or your PIN is not working, you can reset it yourself. Go to https://www.tudublincityprint.ie/login/ and enter your Student number and 4 digit PIN number to login. Expand Access Control. Click on PIN. Then click on Change Current PIN. Update your PIN can click OK to confirm

When a guest is registering at a Datapac kiosk and they don’t have an email address they can use none@tudublincityprint.ie. This is a default mail address and will allow the process to continue. The Datapac technician will receive this email and it will only be used should they need to check something for the user. The kiosk receipt requires all the information needed to use the printers. Once the registration process is complete, subsequent credit top ups at the kiosks do not require an email address.

When typing in the student ID number, only enter the first 8 continuous digits of the student ID on the student ID card.

On the printer touch screen: press Copy, Secure Print or E-mail, you will then be asked for your student ID number and printing PIN. To enter your student ID number you can either manually enter it using the number pad on the printer or you can touch your student ID card. You will then have to key in your print account PIN.

If the previous computer user had left themselves logged in and then you started using the computer then your print job may have been sent to the other user's account. In that case you will need to login to a computer once more and send the print job again.

The printer will automatically log you out after 45 seconds of inactivity. However users are encouraged to manually log out when finished at a printer to avoid the next users inadvertently using their credit, using the log out button on the printer, as shown below.

The FAK code request can appear when an unrecognised PIN code has been entered. To resolve this you should press the cancel button and attempt to log in again. If the issue persists then contact the Datapac technician.

When photocopying large amounts, you need to log into the printer as normal, place the paper for photocopying on the top feeder, face up (as shown above) and press the green start button.

You may experience problems printing if you have both a guest account and a student account registered with your DIT email address. Please email helpdesk@tudublincityprint.ie for support in order to have your print account fixed.
